Corsica |
The Cap Corse is a particular place, an island within the island. The Cap Corse is the northern part of the island, the closest to the main land, thus making a "bridge" between them. It is 40 km long and 15 km wide and is composed of numerous villages and marinas, and this is why it gave brave sailors to an island of shepperds and mountain men. This piece of land, divided between green and blue, has 80 km of coast, often rocky, high or sharp, and it also has its high peak: the average height is 330 m (570 m for the island itself) and its climate is typical of the Mediterranean with moderate flux. The normal weather of the Cap Corse is sunny. The rocky Mediterranean island, as typical as it is, is spotted with original tiny villages clinging to the mountain, with beaches, rocky coasts and settings reminding the visitor that time is ever present.
